Misty Banyard, Studio Manager, holds a Master of Music from the University of Ottawa, as well as Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Education Degrees from Acadia University. Additionally, Ms. Banyard is a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association, The Ontario College of Teachers ad the National Association of Teachers of Singing, where she is currently a member of the local chapter executive.
Ms. Banyard has established herself as a versatile teacher who has worked extensively in early childhood music, choral/vocal music and instrumental music, having worked as a public school music teacher, a private music teacher, a vocal clinician, coach and adjudicator of skill and merit. (Her clinical voice work at the Grange School in Hartford, England was described as "spectacular."). She is also currently the Music Director for Lakeside Players, a theatre group in the Ottawa area.
Performance career highlights include solo recitals at Christ Church Cathedral (Dublin, Ireland), The Canadian Premier of Llama’s Popule Meus with Coro Vivo Ottawa, The Second Lady in Opera Lyra Ottawa's production of Turandot, Flora in Pellegrini Opera's Production of La traviata, Musetta in Capital City Opera's Inaugural production of La bohème, the soloist in Paul Mealor's stunning Stabat Mater with The Cantata Singers of Ottawa, as Der Konnigen der Nacht with Ottawa Operatunities in Mozart's incomparable Die Zauberflöte, Despina in Bytown OperAntics production of Cosi fan Tutte, As Miss Andrew in ASNY Ottawa's production of Mary Poppins, and As Mrs hamilton in the World Premiere of "Scary Poppins."
